GAITHERSBURG, Md. — Authorities are investigating a school bus crash in Montgomery County that led to road closures Monday morning.
Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) officers responded to the 8700 block of Snouffer School Road just before 8 a.m. after reports of a collision involving a school bus and a minivan.
Officials confirmed that no one on the school bus was injured. However, the minivan driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services (MCFRS) also evaluated a child in the minivan.
Emergency crews remain on the scene, with Snouffer School Road closed between Turkey Thicket Drive and Lewisberry Drive. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes and expect delays.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
