The earbuds are reported to be 25% small and 20% lighter than the brand’s previous model yet are equipped with upgraded active noice cancellation (ANC) with a pair of proprietary processors to boot. The earbuds have six microphones including a set of dual feedback microphones along with a new Dynamic Driver X design and a series of passive isolation foam tips to maximize comfort during use.
The Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds deliver exceptional connectivity thanks to Bluetooth 5.3 and also have artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted upscaling. Priced at $299, the earbuds are expected to start shipping later this week.
