The streaming service will be available free of charge with no advertisements and will launch through the agency’s Android and iOS apps for mobile access. Users will also be able to stream it via Apple TV, Roku and Fire TV as well as via any desktop browser. Viewers will enjoy live broadcasts and collections of original videos with additional programs set to be available later after the initial launch.
Marc Etkind spoke from NASA’s Office of Communications on the NASA+ streaming service saying, “We’re putting space on demand and at your fingertips with NASA’s new streaming platform. Transforming our digital presence will help us better tell the stories of how NASA explores the unknown in air and space, inspires through discovery, and innovates for the benefit of humanity.”
