WASHINGTON (AP)– A previous Maryland local was sentenced on Tuesday to more than one year behind bars for making thousands of intimidating and bothering telephone calls to loads of congressional offices throughout the nation, court records reveal.
Ade Salim Lilly’s telephone harassment campaign included roughly 12,000 telephone calls over the span of 19 months to more than 50 offices for members of Congress, according to district attorneys. They said Lilly endangered to kill a congressional employee throughout among the calls.
United State District Judge Timothy Kelly punished Lilly to 13 months of incarceration adhered to by three years of supervised release, according to on-line court records.
Prosecutors advised punishing Lilly to 18 months of incarceration, arguing for a demand to prevent others from participating in similarly threatening habits. Capitol Authorities Principal J.
