A mother has been accused of shooting her teenage daughter after an argument inside their Maryland home

An argument between a mom and a child finished with the 13-year-old girl being shot inside a Maryland house, cops stated. The mommy was held without bond Wednesday complying with fees of attempted murder.

Talecka Brown, 32, was detained on a cost of tried first-degree murder after police state she fired her daughter quickly after she returned home from school on Monday.

She was ordered held without bond throughout a hearing on Wednesday after a failed request for home detention.

During Wednesday’s bond hearing, district attorneys mentioned a voicemail Brownish left with the girl’s dad Wednesday early morning, in which she said that if the girl does not testify, this whole thing just disappears.

” Attempted first-degree murder? Come on, you know this isn’t me,” Brown also claimed in the voicemail, according to prosecutors.

According to billing files, the girl told police that she got involved in an argument with her mother, who was holding a weapon. That argument turned physical, and after the battle, she began strolling down the staircases when she was fired, the records mentioned.

Police officers found the wounded woman in the 500 block of 69th Area in Seat Pleasant prior to 5 p.m., police said in a news release Tuesday. She was shot in the upper body.

Authorities stated Brown made use of a gun that was inside the home to fire her daughter and afterwards informed her child to state she was shot by someone who had actually broken into the home. According to billing documents, Brown gave detectives clashing statements on exactly how her child was hurt.

Originally, cops claimed the lady was taken to the hospital in critical condition. However an agent for the Seat Pleasant Police Division informed WTOP on Monday the girl was in stable problem. The girl “experienced a single problem to the rear part of her neck,” according to court papers.

” It is always tragic when we have acts of violence within our community, but it is heart wrenching when the perpetrator is supposed to be your protector,” Acting Seat Pleasant police Chief Cedric Heyward said in a news release. “I am glad to hear that the victim is recovering at a hospital, but the emotional trauma will remain for some time.”

Royal prince George’s Area cops are helping in the examination.
