Beaches in Maryland and Virginia closed to swimming following reports of ‘medical waste’ washing ashore

The Community of Ocean City said that the coastline patrol has closed the local coastlines for swimming and urged “everybody to follow this closure till more notice.”

Chincoteague Public Coastline in Virginia has also been contributed to the closure checklist. All ocean-facing beaches at Assateague Island National Seashore are now closed to swimming or wading.

Officials with the park solution and with Fenwick Island resembled ask for visitors to maintain their footwear on while strolling on the beach.
