Crash in Prince George’s County Injures Man and Child, Road Closed for Investigation

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — Authorities are investigating a collision that sent a man and a child to the hospital Tuesday afternoon and led to the closure of St. Barnabas Road in both directions.

According to Prince George’s County Police spokesperson Corporal Erik Marsh, the incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Dallas Place and Pohanka Place. A sedan and a dump truck were involved in the crash.

The sedan’s driver was transported to the hospital in critical condition. A child who was also in the vehicle sustained injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The dump truck driver was not injured.

Police are still working to determine the cause of the crash. St. Barnabas Road will remain closed for an extended period while the investigation continues.
