Customizable Youthful Headphones – Morrama Joins Batch.Works on the Kibu Headphone Design (TrendHunter.com)

Design consultancy Morrma works in collaboration with sustainable manufacturing brand Batch.Works on the new Kibu headphones. The headphones are made to be assembled and personalized by a youthful audience with a focus on being repairable and recycled when it reaches the end of their lifespan. Every single headset is 3D-printed and done on demand using the custom colors that have been chosen.

It uses recycled PLA that has been collected from packaging waste from the agricultural industry. To add some elements of comfort, there is a plus TPU headband and foam ear cups that are made small enough for children to comfortably wear. Founder and Creative Director of Morrama speaks about the Kibu, stating “This project is the result of both Batch.Works and Morrama’s drive to shift the consumer mindset around product circularity and repairability at end-of-life. By starting with kids’ products, we hope to set the next generation on a path to better understanding and appreciating the objects they use and interact with and do so in a playful and engaging way.”
