Police Seek Help Identifying Young Boy Found Alone in Calverton

CALVERTON, Md. — Montgomery County police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the parents or guardians of a young boy who was found alone Wednesday morning in the Calverton area.

The child was discovered around 10:30 a.m. in the 12500 block of Galway Drive. He is described as approximately 3 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 40 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

Authorities estimate the boy is around 3 or 4 years old. A photo of him was shared on social media by the Montgomery County Police Department in hopes that someone can identify him.

Anyone with information about the child’s identity or the whereabouts of his guardians is urged to call the department’s 24-hour non-emergency line at 301-279-8000.

No further details about the child have been released at this time.
