Taneytown, Md. — Authorities arrested three individuals on Thursday, December 12, during a search and seizure operation at an apartment in Taneytown.
According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, a warrant was executed at an apartment on 22 Roberts Mill Road, leading to the arrest of 45-year-old Samar Lorenzo Williams, a resident of the unit. Investigators allege Williams was involved in distributing illegal drugs in the Carroll County area with the assistance of Eric Michael Carter, 41, and Betty Jean Montgomery, 38. All three were taken into custody without incident.
During the search, detectives discovered cocaine, scales, packaging materials, and other paraphernalia consistent with illegal drug distribution.
Williams faces charges of possessing controlled dangerous substances, possession with intent to distribute, and possession of paraphernalia. He is currently being held without bond at the Carroll County Detention Center, with additional charges expected.
The investigation was a collaborative effort between the Sheriff’s Office Drug and Firearms Trafficking Task Force, the Pro-Active Community Enforcement team, the Westminster Police Department, and the Carroll County State’s Attorney’s Office. All groups operated under the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network, with funding provided by the Governor’s Office on Crime Prevention and Policy.
