Woman stabbed while sitting on a bench near Friendship Heights Metro station

A woman resting on a bench was stabbed outside the Friendship Heights Metro station Monday early morning, and authorities have actually the individual charged of stabbing her thanks to a witness that saw what took place.

Montgomery Region police stated they got a call around 9:20 a.m. for a record of a stabbing in the location of 2 Wisconsin Circle.

They discovered a lady, 66, with stab injuries on her body. She was taken to a medical facility for therapy in “critical problem,” police stated in a news release.

Cops jailed Marcus Dwayne Jackson, 39, of D.C. after he left the scene. Cops claimed a do-gooder called 911 and adhered to Jackson to the area of Connecticut and Western aveneues, where D.C. authorities took him into protection.

Jackson was charged with attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, possession of a hazardous weapon with the intent to injure, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. He was taken to the D.C. detention center and is awaiting extradition to Montgomery Area.

Jackson and the woman didn’t know each other and it was a separated case, authorities said.
